You need friends who remind you of who you are with songs especially at your lowest moments.
Oreoluwa Awolesi is a dear friend of more than 15 years, I had a discussion with her last week on #ShareyourMusicMiracle series.

She spoke of how she finished National Youth Service Corps (N.Y.S.C) over a year ago and was in the wait for job, to top it all up she went through a break up of a relationship that had lasted 3 years or more.

She felt life and God were unfair to her to have brought her through pitfall moments, first she knew she was smart and productive, she felt with that she should have gotten a job but all to no avail.

She decided to let go of everything, her faith in God and all. She was done!
This friend calls to check on her and she rants about how devastating everything had been, her friend says to her that she’s going to send a song that would help her up. She goes like ahn ahn in her mind because she wasn’t expecting that, she needed solution and not a song to listen to. Her friend sends the song and for sometime she didn’t listen to it, one day she decided to listen to it and boy! It was just what she needed. It encouraged, picked her up from where she had left herself and renewed hope in her heart.

Best part is she’s got a job now!
You see why we need friends who understand when it’s not just words that would do it but music…
